How are you going to suspend the outlet reducer in the column? I'd say it would be easier to build a Boka slant plate.

The fridge is finally fixed! I'm going to explain what was wrong just so anyone who stumbles onto this thread in the future knows how to fix their fridge. I hate following a thread when I'm working on a problem only to find it just stops without a result. I'll start from the start, the fridge is a e...

I haven't seen reasonable prices for years! I betcha I swap out heaps of shit before I get it working properly again...it is still cheaper than a new fridge though.Hack wrote:reasonable price

Any fridge mechanics in here.
G'day all, my bloody fridge has packed it in again. It's not defrosting properly....I don't know if it's the ceramic heater, the PCB or just the defrost relay (which I think is on the main PCB anyway). I was hoping someone has access to the LG service manual site and could do me a favour. :D The mod...

happy with the performance of this rig other than the leaks I get from my flour paste. If I can offer some advice, the term flour paste is a bit of a misnomer.....what you are chasing isn't really a paste at all but more of a dough. Make it the consistency of childrens play dough, it will harden li...

Welcome xbrehw, it doesn't get much easier than the UJSM recipe found here. While it's fermenting build a still like the one pictured below. Don't worry about specific sizes and/or lengths, just grab some copper and braze it together. Use gas as your heat source to start with as it is just so much e...

I think chips are very, very easy to over do. I was consistently overoaking mine when using chips. I now use my own toasted sticks, they are about 6" x 1/2" x 1/2" and are toasted in foil (with a few pin pricks in the foil packets) at 200Deg C for 2hrs. I add about 4 or 5 of these sti...

Re: What to expect on UJSM start to end.
It is difficult to provide exact yields due the amount of variants in every run. It all depends on (and not limited to) the type of yeast used, how long it took to ferment, the size/shape of your still, how fast you run the still etc. I'll try to elaborate a bit so I don't come off as a smart arse :...

It will work fine, mine is the same although I'm running 1/2" inside 3"4" liebig. The condenser doesn't need to be as big as you are planning (it won't hurt BTW) because it only has to be able to knock down the power you put in. To get good separation you don't need alot of power, I r...

What's the purpose of the first condenser? The thumper will never boil if the first pass likker that fills it is cool. Or are you planning on using a element in the thumper as well? Maybe I have missed something.
