Few ?'s on first run with 1.5 boka inline.....
I just ran my recently built Bokakob mini and got a few questions. My first run did go very well and the mini stabalized very quickly and was giving me between 90-96% almost throughout the whole run. I ran 2 gallons of some rum that I screwed up on my other column along with the tails from that run....

Re: Walmart copper scrubbers are not copper
I went to two different walmarts and bought every package of copper scrubbers they had...........THANK GOD they only had 3 packages between the two stores. I would have wasted more gas returning them then they were worth. But they do shine my columns up real nice anyway. Lesson learned.

Walmart copper scrubbers are not copper
I bought a bunch of the walmart copper scrubbers and did the magnet test and they were attracted to the magnet. They had two types. One clearly said "copper coated" and the others said "copper mesh scrubbers". Both are the same and are not pure copper. Just in case anyone is wond...

Re: What pump for bokakob double coil?
Hookline, you got me thinking. My original coil was a continuous double coil. My new one is a single coil. All I have to do, in theory, Is make another single coil and then interweave them and find a way to connect them without creating to much bulk as I built the 1.5 before I learned that the 2 wou...

Re: What pump for bokakob double coil?
Thanks for all the replies, I have already built another coil. This time I used a 3/4 pipe for winding and only made a single coil with the return running up the center. Flow is much better. I ran the still today with water to test it out and it worked real nice. I let the steam build up till it was...

What pump for bokakob double coil?
I am in the process of building a bokakob mini still and am just about done with it. I only need to drill the thermometer hole and solder the 1/4 inch tube for it. I have, after 3 attempts, been able to make the double helix coil. My problem is that my pump wont pump enough water through the coil. I...

New guy saying hello
Hello everyone. Hopefully I'll be able to help with some ques...
