Biggest reason for for the shortages was shortage of workers in plants. Some plant are setup for either wholesale sized packaging or retail size, not eazy to convert from one to another. Nuther season bout done. Was lookin to be a short season few months ago then the flood gates opened. Only gonna be a 3 week shut down for maintenance then back to grind. Pressure washer makes sort work of dissolving molearse and it airates at same time.

But yea id say boiling water be safe. I’ve mashed in hdpe barrels with steam for 3 hours n no harm.

My experience is that every still has happy place on what proof it makes. Yes fewer plates make lower but trying to make it run out of happy zone sacrifices quality.

Just need vapor feed to tie columns together. Thinkin a 3 way valve on top of plates. On side feed packed and other to run as just plates for flavour or heads removal on neutral runs :wtf: :wtf:

The vapor feed for packed will feed into the back of the 4” of the left 4x2. Thats a trap thay is hangin down.
