Thank you for the direction. I tried a previous pineapple mash but ended up making a great wine but not a wash. I will keep experimenting as long as I get cheap fruit..

Hey gang just want to say hey.. been gone for awhile but back in the groove. This site has never let me down. Running a 30 gallon pot still with a 10 gallon slobber .. all 100 % copper. ok so I have a lot of apple sauce and canned fruit, is it possible to take all the stuff and mix it in a trash can and ferment for a distillation??? and yes I said apple sauce..lol

i started with a 16 quart stock pot and i use flour and water and make a thick paste and put a small layer on the inside of the lid... set the lid on the pot and put a few big rocks or bricks.. if there is any leaks put some paste on the leak,,,,it will stop the leak

the first run i did was cracked corn 5gl , 3 lb of caramel malt , i boiled the water and added it to a bucket with the grains and let them soak for a few hours before i added any sugar and filled with water and then pitched the yeast at about 75-80 degrees.or per the yeast packets.. i used a danstar...

It's a sugarhead wash not a mash. And nothing really special about it. So you won't get much comments. ok so i am using an old friends mash recipe and it goes as follows.. 30 gallon trash can ( safe plastic ) so i use a 5gallon bucket of cracked corn, 4 lbs of rye,2 lbs of caramel malt , 25 lbs of pure cane sugar and 6-8 tbl spoon of bakers yeast.. heat 5 gl of water to melt sugar. pour hot sugar wat...

i used a bit close to the same size as a male screw in fitting and just screwed the connector in the top of the lid with no issues, it will leak a little and so does the lid BUT instead of buying gaskets just make a lil paste and lay a SMALL layer in the groove of the lid and when you set it on top ...

hey if that is your still in the pic. set it up on your stove and run it.. this way as stated above you keep a steady temp..and you have a cold water supply for the condenser

cheap meaning $5 thats it no tri-clamp just one piece of copper from lowes and your good.. CHEAP and easy.. not buy a bunch of stuff to make it easy.. this is the CHEAPEST way to connect to copper.tri-clamps are $10 plus what ever else to do a flange..
