Is my mash any good ?

I had made some really goid mash about a year ago. A all grain, corn, rye, and malted barley. Got really goid conversion on all, and used enzy mash. Fermented all the way, but I have a bad back FRIM surgeries, so it has been sitting in a barrel for months. Wife says it has to go ! Is it any good ? S...

gsugg, had the same problem. Found a really good tutorial on Malting corn by Bearded and bored on YouTube. This is a great way to do it without molding ! Good Luck, let me know how it works r u !

Carbohydratesn Im glad I asked, Will leave Epsom out and use the Fermax. Have heard alot about honey shine, cant wait to try. Im going to use 18lbs of honey to 7.5 gallons water. 2.4 pds. Per gallon. Thank you for the insight if the nagnesium in the dap.

Cuisinart Coffee Charcoal filters

We just got a new Cuisinart coffe maker and it has charcoal filters for the water. I can get a pack of 12 for 10$@ amazon. Same thing as activated charcoal right? And would be cheaper! I can filter spirits with these?

I have a 10 gallon Tradional Copper Still with a 3 gal. Copper thumper and my condenser has about 11 ft. Of 3/8 tubing and is about 14'' water jacet pond pumped cooled with a 50 gal. Resevoir. After I thought about it, I askes a stupid question, but it did stay in the boiker, and made my cuts real clear in small jars.

Yea Rad, I just used it once because Im @a Sea level and I didnt have the big enough burner ti get the gelitzing temos I wanted, So I had a low abv on the OG. Also, I live @ Sea level so , ditillation temps are higher, thats the reason Im adding the non iodized salt and because it says itmakes for a better product.

My first AG fermented out @ 4.5 %. So I read you can put the non iodized salt in your mash to raise the boiling temp of water. As lond as uts all grain, you should be fine. In Tried and True Recipe Uncle Jesse's Sweet Sour Mash is a great recipe for a beginner, and it makes a great product. All you will need is cracked corn & Sugar. Make sure your ph if the water is 4.5-6.

It will say , " All Grain " Molasses, Corn, Oats.. Tracor Supply is producers pride.Anything with preservatives isnt good or pellets in it. It needs to be perishable. No presevatives.

UJSSM 1st gen. Fermented fine down to. 998 , Around 8.5%, but I have had unexpected company with plumbing contractors and their coming back tomorrow, Can I use 25% to of tbe wash to start my 2nd gen.? Cause the wash has been ready for 2 days but cant get a chance to run right now.

Made UJSSM Friday night, SG was 1.064 and FG was .998, but my hydrometer is showing just above 0. It fermented and is ready but nit showing the 8ish on my hydrometer??? Im just trying to understand?
