Well I'll give it a go. Are you aging on oak or sherry soaked oak or something else?

So I been thinking about it a shotgun condenser about 20 inches long would work great on a 15.5 gallon beer keg wouldn't it

Sorry gents, it worked yesterday! I was just finishing a bourbon strip...

The (bad) link is for a 1/2" copper female threaded adapter, the same ones I (and Deplorable) used.

Re: Fittings for a Shotgun?

Makes it easy to hook up and break down using hose clamps...

Turbo for sacrifice run

I've been holding on to this turbo yeast for awhile now I knew bot to use it but now I'm wondering if I can use it for a sacrificial run or will it stink up my new equipment? Would it be best to just use a yeast I'm used to using for the sac run?

Re: Fittings for a Shotgun?

A couple of reasons. I feel like I get a little bit better control of the water flow with a gate valve, a round knob is less prone to being bumped closed when barely open, and they fit better on my manifold. Another nice benifit of using a cooling water manifold is when Im only running a product co...

Re: EZ Solder 2" Shotgun

Stripping run times we're cut by probably 40% or better. Spirit run, I've only done one, but my initial impression was that the elimination of the restriction from the top of the riser to the PC made a big improvement in the character of the final spirit. My spirit run times are similar. My cooling...

Re: EZ Solder 2" Shotgun

I just completed the cleaning runs on a 21 inch OAL shotgun using TBs plates and baffles. 20 inches between the end plates and 7 baffles. I threw all the heat I could at this thing with a 100k BTU burner and could not overpower it. Just increase the cooling water flow rate and it continued to provi...
