Re: What criteria should be in a post before it can be a sticky
After reading both threads, I can't really work out who's side I'm on....I think you are saying the same thing in a roundabout fashion. However, I personally feel that there are far too many stickies.

I'll give it a crack again....last time I did it I used the smelly, cheap battery hen eggs. I reckon if I use some nice fresh free range ones it will be a whole lot different.

How tall is your column? If it has considerable height, I doubt it would have puked.......therefore it only leaves tails or it picked up some shit left over in the column, although the "globs" comment has got me thinking.

I think it depends where you are at......as far as I know, there is no way to get a 100% above board one in Australia. They always remain the property of the brewery.

My God...that's one long arse thread! I don't have time to go through it all right now, what is the general consensus on proxy's. Perhaps something like Circumventor? I guess they will just blacklist sites like those. I think there will be ways around it, although I'm certain it won't come to that.

I'm pretty sure it can't be done (or rather, can't be done economically). The way I see it, and I'm more than likely wrong, is that all data packets will need to come through a single point of entry (or perhaps they will create several access points) and then analyse every one and zero that comes th...

What sort of still have you got, I know you stated it is a 2" column but is it CM,LM or VM? Regardless of the type of column, if you want some of your corn to come through than yes, remove the packing. My only concern is the 1KW element, I have personally found (and I know others here will disa...

Re: Thumper Question
I can't answer your diffuser question as I've never done it, however, in regards to the glass thumper question, I think most use glass (myself included) purely for the novelty of being able to see the distillation take place. Personally, if I were to do it again I wouldn't bother making a thumper fr...

Those type of stills are governed by the rate (and temp) of the cooling water going through it. How fast is the hooch flowing when the cooling water is turned right down (or even off for a minute or so)? If it is the same flow rate than I would suspect (as you suggested) that there is a leak somewhe...

Re: Corn Run distilling at 77 deg C, worried!
This is why using a thermometer in a pot is not advised, there are to many variables for results to be consistent. As you know the boil temp is dependant on the make up of the wash, the wash varies everytime due to things like ambient temp, how much backset was used (affecting ph) etc. At the end of...
