Re: Hi! Been out a while,

Welcome back! I believe the CSST (corrugated stainless steel) Dimroth condenser maybe something little known here five years ago. Cheap, easy to fabricate and efficient. Dad300 is the stiller I think of first when CSST Dimroth comes to mind.

Welcome! Brew in the bag beer to single malt whisky sounds like a logical progression. No huge learning curve required, well cuts but... Collect your run in a bunch of numbered small jars, let them air out and start tasting with the middle jar or the one that smells the cleanest to you. Work your wa...

Craig is a good value. It had an age statement of nine years until recently and is still bottled at 47 ABV. It is usually low to mid-thirties in my region. Enjoy!

A agree with Swede. If your rig is stainless and copper, I would get it a shot. Replace the gasket and give it a vinegar cleaning run followed by an alcohol cleaning run just as if it was newly constructed. I don't think the through tubes will hurt you much. If a rig was built and used by my Grandfa...

Angel's Envy Rye, 95% rye grainbill. Big surprise, I picked up their bourbon several years ago, didn't care for it, too headsy. Their rye is amazing, a bit of water and time to open and it is dessert in a glass. Wonderful stuff, unlike anything I have ever tasted. Just delicious!

Re: Hey all

Welcome Kytler! If you have beer brewing under your belt, distilling should be no worries. Kiwi's Guide to Cuts is a great place to start. Many small jars, start from the middle and work outward. Don't be greedy, lower ABV washes and tight cuts will yeild a fine drink.
Enjoy your journey!
