light bulbs give 95% of their watt power off as heat
I was reading that light bulbs give 95% of their watt power off as heat... I was wondering is there any safe way to harness this as it seems like an easy control with just dimmer switches for the control of the heat. I have seen a 200 watt bulb on a ss stock pot and got up water up to 98 Celsius... Any thoughts on this idea as a heating element control? I saw a website on bio diesel used light bulbs as a cooker as well. Also if you can use them in the easy bake and bake or the ronco rotessiare machine you know they give off heat. I have also seen them used to make homemade lava lamps on you tube. Anyone have any ideas on how to use this simple heat source. Maybe a set it and forget 60 watt bulb reflux still perhaps???
