I have been running a 3" boka for quite awhile, but I wanted to delve into flavoured spirits (whiskey specifically). So I built a short 3" head, which necks down to a 1/2" 20ft worm. (a thumper will be made before I start chasing whiskey)
After the cleaning runs, I tried this new setup for stripping my BWTP wash mainly to play with it.
To my surprise I can strip the same amount in about 75% of the time. (1 1/2hr vs 2 with the boka with removed packing) My boka has a 1/2" takeoff as well.
Have others seen this as well? I think from now on, even if making a neutral, I'll fire up the pot still, and only switch to the column for the spirit run.

Disregard, I'm a dummy.
I can't run my boka at full 4500w because it overpowers the condenser. I've been stripping with the pot still at full power duhh. lol

Re: Stripping with pot still vs column
My pot head strips way faster than anything else I've tried, for one thing I don't have to worry that I may overpower a reflux coil and my 36 inch liebig can handle everything my 5500W element can throw at it.
