Amazing Still by Brewhaus

Post by rickyaifd »

I was perusing the Brewhaus site and ran across something called...The Amazing Still. It seem to be a still made of a plastic bucket with an interior bucket holding the mash and it uses simple evaporation and condensation to extract the alcohol. Is anyone familiar with or have any experience with the product?

Heard of it and I would be surprised if anyone recommends it!

But your note reminds me of an idea I had to use two, say 25 to 30 litre 'pyrex' (borosilicate glass?) containers from a de-commissioned milking machine, in some fashion as solar stills....They are open top and bottom so that needs attention and they have a large hole on each side....
Put them on a trolley and move from the shed to the sunshine, and move to keep them in the sunny spot.....
Got them free.

Yes. Amazing Still is where I started and am embarrassed as all hell to admit it here in these hallowed halls.

It's a small fermentation bucket with a heater. The heater "distills" your wash.
That is placed in a larger collection bucket capped with a lid so the distillate doesn't escape.

It's a gimmick and the low alcohol yield tastes like sh!t.
Don't waste your time!
