I guess the bible thumpers that put that site together forgot that Jesus drank wine, more or less daily, as did everyone in his day......

Happy Easter weekend folks; keep it real!

Hey, if the bible huggers don't want beer, it just means there's more for us! To each their own, happy easter everybody!

I ain't drinkin none of that Lupulin stuff ! ! ! !
It is not the matter, nor, the space between the matter,
but rather, it is that finite point at which the two meet,
that, and only that, is what is significant...........
(Of course, I could be wrong) ..........

Can beer be blessed? Might go back occasionally if they had ale instead of holy water.

Some of the strongest beers are made by Trappist monks....
Augustine of Hippo, Nicholas of Smyrna, Saint Luke, Saint Barbara, Saint Medard of Noyon, Saint Adrian, Saint Veronus, Saint Wenceslas, Saint Brigid, Saint Amand, Saint Arnold of Soissons, Saint Arnold of Metz, Saint Arnou of Oudenaarde, Saint Boniface of Mainz, Saint Lawrence, and Saint Dorothy of Cappadocia, were ALL, at one time, considered patron saints of beer, or brewers.
And, most people agree, the world would be better if people would live by the examples of Saints...
Most especially- of those of brewing, and beer...

rule 5. Do not discuss politics or religion. These forums are a friendly place for a community which shares a common interest: creating high quality spirits. These discussions only divide people and quickly lead to flaming and hard feelings.

I am a bit of a holy roller and bible thumper and this stuff is what gives folks bad views of religion. That page is right in line with prohibition era propaganda. Reading through the verses they gave did anyone see where drinking any alcohol is a sin? The sin lies in drunkenness which can lead to your lapsed judgement while inebriated and to addiction which would make alcohol more important to you than God.

The church has to wake up and realize if every cause of sin was gone they wouldn't have a congregation. I love Gad, the Bible and the Church, don't let a few radicals spoil that for you.

religous nuts will say or do anything to recruit followers. best thing you can do is laugh them out of the conversation or shout them down. Their motto seems to be "God will forgive our sins if we berate others for what we perceive as theirs". they take a beautiful concept that says we are all in this together and turn it into bile filled and devisive hate mongering. It never occurs to them to look into themselves for more sin then they can correct.
