Post by Bushman »

I have not made this but thought it interesting to find it on Facebook this morning posted by a food recipe site.

Hmmmmm.....

I like strawberries. I like lemonade. And I like moonshine.

I may just have to give this recipe a try.

Thanks Bushman.

sounds fairly sweet, you'd have to dial back the sugar a bit

Just cruising by and saw the title.
Sorry nothing to add other than it made me thirsty.

looks very similar to what I make with Rhubarbs, obviously without Everclear.
Thanks, Bushman.

Thanks, Bushman.
That sounds interesting always wondering what else to do with rhubarb other than pies.

If you don't make a puree out of them and just cut them into pieces about 1/2 to 1 inch or so, It'll be fine.
Pour some sugar over them a piece of vanilla bean (cut open) + some 40 % neutral and let them stay like that for a week or so, drain the liquid and top up with as much 40% neutral as you like.
It's excellent when served chilled.

I wonder how this would taste with a rum base!
It's sweet, buttery, and full of flavors, I may try this with my remaining 1/2 gal of white rum :D

Well, I just use plain white sugar.
Never tried with brown sugar...would be interesting to taste the difference.
