School Project on Alcohol Distillation At Home

Postby cnathler » Mon Nov 02, 2009 8:18 am

Hey everyone,

I'm currently writing a story on people who distill their own alcohol at home in my journalism class and am looking for some interview subjects, preferably via Skype (e-mail is ok too). I would love to get some personal feedback on what seems to be a growing trend and maybe some video content, also through skype. Please either DM me or send an e-mail to cnathler@ryerson.ca.

I appreciate the help!

Thanks.

Let me see if I understand this...

You want someone committing a crime to contact you in a way that can easily be traced so that you can get details and proof about the crime he is committing?

If cnathler is genuine, and is happy to do it all via PMs on this site, then why not? Some here have talked to journos before, and we have had some good articles come out of it and appear in the mainstream press.

I do agree that it is wise to only do it in a way in which you cannot be traced. (Nothing personal, cnathler, I am sure you understand why.) Though, as Kiwi said, not everybody is doing it illegally.

If we want this hobby legalised, then we are going to have to be prepared to explain it to the general public and dispel the myths and lies that keep it illegal, and talking to mainstream journos is one important way of getting our message across. They are not our enemy, the stupid laws are.

cnathler, can you verify you are who you say you are? Other journos have done so. For example:

Interesting page, Hook. Imagine my surprise when I saw that one of the forum members is "even a retired Archaeologist." :ewink:

Does this make said retired Archaeologist a 'famous' shiner?

Edited cos my grammar was up the shit. I have a reputation to live up to now.

That's the sort of journalizm we need! Good references and a stinging take on the money-grubbin laws. Prohibition caused the mafia.

Are you up to it cnathler?
