So I was running my still last night, a basic sugar wash, only 10L so I added 5L of water and did some temp testing.
After it got to 58-60°C and started boiling nice there was not much to do but to finish some dynamics calculations for school.
Finished surprisingly quick and started thinking about making a pot still for stripping and maybe some flavored stuff.
I got an idea a while back of using a small corny as a thumlper so jotted some sketches down.
Here is what i ended up with.

Don't really have the time or money to try this anytime soon but i would much appreciate what you think.
If this is a viable system i might start planing the holidays more precisely.

Thats a thumper set up.

Start looking at some posts in the pot still module so you can render your thoughts more closely to scale.

I realize that its not really a pot still. dose not really look like it at all.
But theoretically using an air cooled pot still connected to a column still, sub surface (thumper). So that most of the vapors would condense but not all.
Would the effort be worth it.

Is that a heat source on your secondary boiler?

yes just a copper coil.
In the corny i use now i got 4m of 8mm copper coil with hot water running through it.
