Watering it down

Post by robkelly »

Would someone point me to a thread on watering down, please? Is there a formula for watering my hooch down? I've made some drinkable stuff but it's 110 to 150 proof. Do I just start adding water to taste? I don't want to ruin my first good batch with water.
Thanks

Use an alcoholmeter.

There is a formula here somewhere for dilution... Ill post it if I find it.

Edit: Here you go. Thank Rad. http://homedistiller.org/distill/dilute/calc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

How did you determine that ?

Sure, just add water in very small increments.

BR just provided a link to it... but next time go to the top of this page and click on "Parent site." The from Parent site look across the top again and click on "calcs." From there scroll down left hand side and click on "product dilute."
If you are not living on the "Edge", then you are taking up too much space!!!

Better get yerself a meter dude, at least till ya get the hang of watchin the devils when you give it a shake. You can use the the end of run stuff to temper down the hearts too, don't drop the proof so fast like water will. Just don't be usin the VERY end...the tails that is...that'll make er cloud up an stink sometimes :wtf: .
Patience....the early bird get's the worm, but the second rat get's the cheese.
