Yes it is.. I got 7 good pints after all my cuts. Was hoping for a little more but I'll take what I can get. I did a 10 gallon run.

Any words of wisdom out there? Does the 7 pints sound like a fair amount for a 10 gallon run? Probably more like 8 gallons after I siphoned it off the sediment.

Hi Old Town. One bit of advice would be to look at and learn to use some of the Calculators available on the parent site. Warning, they are not labeled or organized well, and not all apply. Just look through them all for what you need. Stuff like calculating the abv of your ferment. How to tell how much alcohol to expect from a distillation. Etc.

With those calculators and some tribal wisdom, you can find your answers. It won't tell you where a good cut is, but it will give you data that will help in figuring stuff out. Good luck. :-)
