4th gen UJSSM

Post by Notsob17 »

I started my first UJSSM about 4-5 months ago and went through 4 gens collecting about 7 gallons low wines (i think i was on 4th gen, may have been 3) , but anyways the wife grew tired of my fermenter being in the laundry room for a month so i saved about a gallon of wash in a milk jug and froze it,,,,hoping that i could somewhat "continue" my gens at a later date. Is this possible?

I would be happy to include it in the next ferment and call it generation 5.

How sad, generally women control the house and men have their "caves" (shed, garage, 'shop etc) - If you don't have room for a "Cave", a compromise is needed. If she won't compromise and let you have a corner of the "laundry room", it is perhaps time to wonder whether you want to spend the rest of your life with someone who won't allow you the slightest bit of self expression ? :(

My wife wasn't too impressed when a rum ferment in our wash house fountained out of the airlock and hit the ceiling while we were on holiday for a week. She is still my wife, Pikey.

Bread yeast. The mistake was using an airlock instead of a towel.
