Pot still considering single run

Hello all,

Ran new pot still(basic 2"on 50lt keg) Monday and was very surprised at the abv's it pulled. It's drastically under heated btw which I believe was main reason for high abv's, but it leads me to ask is there an option for single run whiskey here.

I'd be keen to here from ppl who single run, what abv's they start at, finish, cuts etc and related comment. Most reading seems focused on strip and seperate spirit method

I'm considering extending the column, add some more SS scrubbers, but had thought of adding a coil at the top of the column. Has anyone experience with this sort of set up.

Wondering what your gut feel for increase in reflux with scrubbers/coil would do for abv's? Would a 8 - 12abv pts gain be feasible?

I've sadly discounted a thumper as a solution given noise? and my neighbour’s acute interest in all things not his business. If someone has a near silent thumper design?
