When you mention 16 gauge copper are you wanting plans to build a traditional all copper still?

I'd just get yourself an empty stainless steel beer keg for a boiler. That way you don't have to build a boiler.

As far as a pot still head ... there's nothin to it. Just a column that goes up and over to a Liebig condenser. Liebig condensers are easy to make. There's a great drawing in the link that was listed earlier.

@ bigbuck,

Echo Forum Member NineInchNails comments concerning obtaining a Stainless Steel Beer Keg for a boiler.

Concerning a Pot Still column suggest viewing Forum Member Samohon Pot Still plans ->

Take a look at http://www.clawhammersupply.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

Great video on how to make a still or buy a kit, I used this as my basis. you can buy 16 ga copper at a lumber yard.

Here is mine.

I don't know if I would consider that a simple still. Well as far a building goes anyway. As far as stills go yeah its simple.
