Corn mash w sugar added backset 4th generation I have used the same receipt for sometime now Boiler temp was around 200 deg when the tint started at 205 it cleared up
What volume are you collecting in the jars...??? Almost sounds like early tails but you still shouldn't be getting a really dark color, just some mild cloudiness... With a 13 gallon boiler charge I'd expect a lot more jars before getting anywhere near tails...
I collect about 1 quart every 30 min my metter was reading 12 the brown jars have a oil film on the surface I usually get 9 quarts this was only a 7 quart run this is only the 3 run with this set up or 5 if I count the 2 cleaning runs. I feel like I controlled the temp ok. This is not a milky tint but translucent.
I am having the same issue. Seems like particulate built up on the copper is getting through...did you get any resolution to it? Goes away with redistillation, but seems not quite right. I have it throughout distillation: heads, hearts, and tails, and at any temperature. Curious what happened to yours.
