Hello All,
After much reading my first post.
I am planning to build a 2" vm still.
The boiler is a standard S/S sanke beer keg. heating is 2 independent 1500 W elements with one on a controller.
The column is 2"x 48" copper stuffed with stainless scrubbers.
Vapor take off at the 2"x2"x2" Tee is immediately reduced to 1/2" followed by 90 degree elbow and ball valve.
Liebig condenser is 32" wire wrapped 1/2"vapor tube with copper strap turbulator inside a 3/4"coolant pipe.
Reflux condenser is 1/4" x 10' single coil in a 10" high shroud.
I have a number of questions.
1) Does my reflux condenser have enough capacity? If necessary I could add a cold finger to the reflux coil.
2) Does the Liebig have enough capacity to do stripping runs. I have made the head swappable so that the still can be used as a stripper/pot still by removing the packing and installing a solid cap above the Tee.
3) I am unsure whether a reflux collar to redistribute condensate is necessary. I have a 2" to 1 1/4" bushing. Should I insert the inverted bushing in the 2" male adapter at the bottom of the head?
4) Is the immediate reduction to 1/2" at the "T" reasonable? I notice that most VMs elbow down at a larger dimension before reduction.

I would appreciate any comments or suggestions in addition to answers of the above questions.
