My new tip for my torch is different then the last. It throws way more heat out. It's gona take some getting use to. That and I'm working inside instead of the front porch. I don't have the wind to contend with. I'm not happy with these first solder joints. :evil:

I think I'm going to go get a smaller tip today.

3 balls 4 plates. Each ball modular with triclamp connections for different configurations.

if you knew somebody that was really good on a lathe you could cut female threads on the inside of one of the ball halves and then solder in a "shoulder" on the inside of the other half and cut male threads on that and screw the halves together, it could be done but would take some serious skill

also, are your balls copper floats from mcmaster?

They are 8" copper floats. But I didn't get them from mcmaster.

A buddy had it left over from a job. And didn't want to scrap it. It's 5 foot of 6".
