My guy came through for me. Got me some new fermenters. 4 55gal with removable lids and bands. Man I would like to get one full. And see what I could make with it.

I wanted 30gal ones. But I can't pass up free.

That's a pretty sweet haul Mr. Piss

Tell your guy to save one for me and I'll pick it up the next time I'm in Kansas ;)
The hardware store wants something like $80 for them... an obvious ripoff, but some granny will buy one for catchin rainwater I'm sure... I know most of the brute trash cans are FDA approved... something just turns me off to using mine though lol

I've got 3 barrel reconditioning places around here. For the 55 with a removable top they want from $40 to $50. The 30gal $30 to $40 and the 15 gal $15 to $30. But I have always been sceptical about getting them from them. You never really know what was in them? Legally they can't be used for food again. But yet they label them food grade. Just because they are food grade doesn't mean they dint have something nasty in them. But with these I know what was in them and they are free.

Update in the build. Sorry life got in the way.other things got priority. Not by choice. But I got that all taken care of and I should be back to the build tonight.

Another note. Picked up 80 foot of 10/4 cable yesterday. Extra from a contractors job. I asked him how much he wanted for it. He said take it. It's paid for. And we have tons back at the shop. Hell yeah! I will turn it into a 50 foot extension cord. With two uses. One so I can run my still where ever I want in the basement. Same with welder. And two power extension for my toy hauler trailer. Will just need to make up some adapters for different plugs. I already have about 20 foot of it. So I got more then enough for my controlling build. Plus 15 foot of 10/3 for the elements.

You know what. Something or someone just doesn't want me to finish this damn thing. Was soldering the lower column attachment to the ball. And I couldn't get the flame to stay right. The oxygen kept changing. Tanks full. WTF messed with it got it good for a bit. Then it went out of whack again. WTF looked up at the low side gauge to find it just climbing. I reached up to turn it down and POP. Pfssssss. Shit the diaphragm blew in the regulator. Mutha efer. :wtf: This just ain't going good. Now I got to find another oxy regulator. I think we mite have an extra at work?

If it ain't one thing its another.

If it wasn't for bad luck. I wouldn't have any luck at all.
It just makes you work harder for it.

My wife gets on me all the time. If bad things is all you think about happening. That's all that will happen. Hell that is all that happens. Don't mater if I think positive or not. Murphy's law is pinned to my ass. One of these days I will git to shake it off. Until then I just got to work around it. Somehow someway.

I guess in a way. My good luck comes in forms of materials. I've gotten more stuff for free then many others.

Nobody said doing stuff yourself is easy, just think of the money your saving doing it yourself and the fun your having doing so, there's alot of people that don't have one tittely wink of knowledge of fabricating anything, don't let a stupid regulator hinder your build, you can find used ones a dime a dozen, there all over craigslist in my part of town.
