Wash or low wines
When you guys run your Boka do you run with a charge of wash or do you do run it with low wines? I know Bokas are slow at least the 2" class. Just wanted to hear your opinions.
Re: Wash or low wines
I do stripping runs so that I can maximize how much alcohol my still can produce in a day. Done it both ways plenty of times, and that is all it really boiled down to for me. (pun)
Luckily I have a 3" modified boka, so faster takeoff rates aren't something I give much thought to. However yes, a run of low wines will take less time per liter to produce alcohol of the same proof, compered to if you had only ran the wash in a single spirit run.
However there will be much more alcohol to distill with 12 gallons of low wines compared to 12 gallons of wash so the overall run time will be noticeably longer, even at the potentially faster takeoff rates.

I also use low wines in my LM. It gives me the most consistent results for my runs.
