Couldnt resist..... This baby rocked many gallons of brandy over the years. Plastic is cracked at the bottom and duct taped. Leaky exit hole stuffed with plumbers putty. Tape and plumbers putty held up for years. Adds to its charm. Or something.

Thanks rock. I actually have eight sight glasses on that column. You can see straight through it, I did it for back lighting so there is no mussing around with a flash light to see what's going on. The pot still boiler was made out of a piece of 4" and holds about 6 gallons. The thump was made with a foot of sch10 8"ss pipe. Everything is hand made except for valves and clamps and some fittings. By the way yours ain't nothing to scoff at neither, very nice work rock.

OK, I'll let you guys have a little peek inside my garage.
First is my basic setup, 15 gal keg, 5500W element. This first pic is the basic pot setup. I usually run it with a higher riser but you get the idea. I didn't take a picture of the boka setup but it is pretty basic.

Next is a work in progress so please be kind It will look quite different when it's finished. I call it "Muggles Too"

It is loosely based on my all time favorite still by Mash Rookie, one of my personal stilling heroes. The original "Muggles" can be seen here

I've been debating that a bit, at the moment my plan is to just have it packed with lava but I have enough copper to make 8 perf. plates if I eventually decide to go that route. My goal with it is neutral at a good speed although a Magic Muggles Flute just sounds cool. I hope to have a build thread up on the Muggles Too soon explaining the whole process I went through building it.

I'm still what I would consider a slightly seasoned greenhorn, and this is my first serious still build that I am currently using. 11 Gallon stock pot, inverted SS mixing bowl, 1" riser reducing to 1/2" output that runs through a PVC liebig that I made (and works like a damn charm, I might add)... I know some of ya'll will poke fun at me for using PVC, but it was cheap, and it works just fine, so I'm content for now, HOWEVER I do plan on upgrading when I can. I keep the cooler full of cold water, and a 100(?) GPM pump from Harbor Freight. It MIGHT be the 92 GPM pump, but I can't remember. Whichever one is 13 bucks at HF. I'm using PTFE tape at my joints (as was recommended in a discussion here), and homemade PTFE gaskets on the lid as well (also recommended here). I will never use flour paste again, cause that stuff takes away a lot of time I normally spent walking around with a bowl full of mush and filed joints. Sorry for all the photo shopping, but...well... you know. And also, the "missing leg" on my burner is just where a bucket was sitting that got shopped out. No I am not using a crappy tripod, LOL. I have had VERY good luck with the UJSSM recipe, and am currently researching aging techniques, and have purchased a 5L white oak barrel from Red Head that should be arriving soon. It's all basically a father/son tradition that I am now carrying on myself since my father's passing this past St. Patrick's day. I'm having so much fun with it, but I seriously miss my still hand.... For the record, the liebig was a design I came up with very recently. I was using a traditional worm style, but everyone kept begging the question "WHY are you not using a liebig...", so i buckled, and built one. I guess I'm now asking myself "why didn't I listen to begin with!". Obviously, I know I could fine tune the appearance, but right now it all works fantastically well, and serves it's purpose, so I'm happy! Sorry for the rambling, and stuff... Here's the pic.
