First Flute, back into distilling!

Post by rumbuff »

I moved to the boonies a couple of years ago, and sold almost all my brewing stuff before I did so. Now I'm finally making some liquor again, here's my newest addition. Starting with some of the smaller components.

Here she is all done!! I've ran a cleaning wash and realised I undersized the holes, so I re drilled them to 5/64 as opposed to 1/16 but I haven't ran it again yet.

Thanks guys! I just ran a batch of 5% shitty beer, and I was able to pull 95% at about 1.5L per hour without the packed section. Could probably be a little better but I'm fairly happy with that result

Hey rum. What temp is that distillate at when you measure it?

20 celsius. The thermometer at the top read 76.6 while distilling
