2" copper flared with triclamp to keg question

If I flare a piece of 2 inch copper will this work to connect to a keg with a triclamp? Thanks in advance.

Sure will mate. More a flange than a flare though.

No problem with that method. Tried and Proven...

Heres a gasket to union it with...

I used Olddogs method to make the easy-flange....

I personally think the easy flange is to much work and prefer just a simple hammered flange.

+1 with a triclover seal (or home made one) they work great

drill a 50mm hole in some hard wood
anneal your pipe

work around the pipe slowly

once your here flatten it right out

and you done :)

i do the flange 1st so you can slide it back out....

So true thelegion!, I too got sick of trying to sorce parts and thought stuff it I'll give it a go myself, it's so easy to do everyone should try it.

Very nice, thanks for the easy tutorial. Am I correct in saying that you Flanged the pipe out 1/4"? effectively making the flange 1/2" larger in diameter?

After annealing do you find that it work hardens enough that It will support its weight if used as a column?
