From Queensland, Australia

Postby Lukehghs » Fri Oct 13, 2017 2:01 am

Hi everyone, my names Luke, from Queensland, Australia. I've only ever used a turbo 500 reflux still but am currently in the process of making my first pot still from a keg that I bought. Although I've been using the T500 for about five years I'm realizing now that My knowledge is very limited, so sorry if I ask some stupid questions in the near future lol.

Cordial welcome Luke, kegs are great for pots as they need almost no mods past removing the spear to simply camp the column on.

gday old mate,
a few banana benders on this forum.
Nothing wrong with a keg for a boiler; are you going to use gas or electric for heating?
Sing out if I can help with any tips
cheers!

Welcome Hughesy ....nearly more bloody Aussies here than the rest LOL .
That Potty will open up a whole new world of flavoured spirits without using HBS flavourings.
You'll even be supprised how much better running stripped wash ends up in the t500 .......so clean you won't be carbon filtering anymore when making Nuetrals ...iff'n thats what you do

Welcome. Plenty of Aussies here. Many of us started on a t500. You won't look back now though.
