Hi all,
I'm a geek about a bunch of things and more recently brewing and distillation. I'm interested in the raw science and the process, and the ability to fine tune to get whatever you want out of it at the end.
... And having a cold one or a wee dram to show for all that effort seems pretty great too.
Cheers,
GGW
Greetings from the great white north!

I'm happy to drive, but it's a big place and for those distances I'll normally fly.
Happy to be here Mars.

It's all in the name
But I'll start with simple stuff first - and work on some neutral spirits. I'm not ready to do anything yet - as I said I'm into the science and process so that when I get started I'll be comfortable to go over the basics and ramp up quickly. On the whisky side I'd really like to know more about aging process and some of the unique flavors that are possible with a bit of toasted wood. I've got a reasonably good nose for picking apart complex flavors and aromas so that part really intrigues me.
