Hello ...
Greetings from the Rust belt Midwest!! I've been reading posts from this site for quite some time! I must say there are quite a few talanted still builders!!! Some very eloborate, and exquisit workmanship! Many creative ideas and solutions to minor obsticles. I really like the condenser coil jig from an Iron pipe and a few pillow blocks!! I made a similar jig from wood with out pillow blocks and it worked ok... I used what I had available...
As for my still, I assembled almost everything from, again, what I had available, and it turned out ok--- I'll post pics when I get it all assembled with the boiler and water lines... as a teaser it is 1-1/2 " diameter with a tilt column, it has external cooling condenser coils, and the "head" is convertable.... I can easily remove it to add packing or an internal coil... as this is my first, I'll keep any interested parties posted on my progress. I wanted to have as many options availible for future expansion as possible...
Thanks for a Greatly Informative Web Site!!
