Hello

Postby bigbully67 » Thu Apr 12, 2012 10:15 pm

I've been reading all I can for about two weeks now and felt it was time to register and say hi.This little hobby sure is addictive! The more I learn the more interesting it becomes. Their is a tremendous amount of information on this site. I would like to thank you all for sharing your knowledge. It has been a tremendous help and I doubt that I would ever of taken this to the next step without having such a great site that can guide me along. I live in an area that has a booming dairy and fruit juice industry that uses a lot of stainless steel so I will be taking advantage of that as well. I went to my local scrap yard yesterday and they had no problem letting me roam around digging through everything and I think I have a gold mine here. I picked up 3 pieces of 3" 304 stainless Tubing ranging from 47" to 53" and I scored a lab grade water distiller all for $30! I'm stoked. I plan on making a 3" Boka for my first baby. I'll be using a propane fired beer keg for the boiler. The water distiller has a 2.5" x 10" shotgun condencer that I'm hoping will work on the Boka rather than the double helix coil everyone seems to be using here. Anyway, I'm rambling. Just wanted to give a proper introduction and say Hi. I've read untill my eyes wouldn't focus any more and have been utilizing the search function but I'm getting to the point were I need to start asking some questions soon. See you all on the board.

Welcome.

Nice score at the scrap yard. I'm kind of envious.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! You sure know how to make someone feel at home. So you like pictures? I'll re-size and post pics of the condenser that came on the water distiller that I found.Just got to figure out the appropriate section. Any suggestions? :D
