Hi Guys

Postby City Slicker » Mon May 14, 2012 9:07 am

Hi Guys,

I have been reading the home site and the boards here for a few months now. Gawd there is a lot of information to absorb. I recently purchased a still column off ebay, which after reading a lot of information here, I realize now that it needs a lot of modification before I do anything with it, oh well, I got some 2" copper and a six inch coil out of it anyway. So in order to get started right away I decided to purchased a "Mighty Mini Dual Purpose 3 gallon Distiller" from Mile Hi, just waiting for it to be delivered... Feel like a kid waiting for Christmas morning right now... lol.

Anyway, I started a 48 hr turbo wash about two weeks ago, it kinda smells like someone puked a bunch of white wine... and I am only going to use it for a sacrificial run. In the meantime I have an All Bran wash gurgling away right now, should be ready in a day or two.

Thanks Guys...

Greetings, City Slicker...

Nice to hear that you did a fair amount of reading before diving in head first... It sounds like you're on the right track so far... Hang in there, it gets easier...

Enjoy the journey...

Hey CS ...
You'll like the AllBran, it's a damn good recipe! Make sure to rinse your still out well after the cleaning run with the turbo wash (just hot water).
Have fun, stay safe.
