Hello,
I've been reading the forums and parent site for some time now. I am a commercial distiller in my 5th year in the industry. I recently crafted my own still, I consider it working from home. I've used this forum for information before and decided it's about time I start contributing.
Cheers!

Welcome... Teach us! Any nice recipes you can share?
What do you personally like to drink? Whats your favorite?
What type of setup did you make?
Ohh and in my signature is the required reading (Cranky's spoon feeding).

I spent 3 years making rye, single malt and corn whisky in an old world fashion. No enzymes, all grain, pot still and retort. Since last January I've been making Potato vodka and corn whiskey, enzyme driven cooks and multiple bubble plate distillation.
I made a 15.5gal pot still with a 3 ft column head, no packing, liebig condenser. I have plans for an all copper 50 gal pot still but, that will take time.
I'm always on the search for a good rye. Other than that I am a religious bourbon drinker and occasionally a Highland Scotch or a Dominican rum.
I'll be sure to make my way to the required reading. Thank you for the welcome.
You're a beginner every year.

I'm sure that hidemyip.com or the like are in your wheelhouse.ThatDrunkenBird wrote:Hello,

Some creative people here, although I'm not one of them. The fact you are humble enough to note their innovation in your intro is a credit to you as an individual.
Welcome aboard.

Hey! hello back at ya! What I'm looking for is some tried and true vodka recipes. Do you or anyone know your way around this and may point me in the right direction? My first time posting.

This thread is for welcoming drunkenbird. your answers for vodka are in the tried and true recipes (more specifically in still types and builds), and feel free to start your own thread in novice distillers to seek answers you cannot find using HD google search at the top of the page. I know this place seems huge when you first get going, but stick it out and you'll be making a fine drop in no time!Codgerness wrote:Hey! hello back at ya!
