I've been making corn whiskey on a very small scale for several years with a still I built from spare parts. This past weekend I ran a rye mash through my still and came out with the best product I've ever made which has me pumped about being a craft distiller and perhaps getting a distillers license in PA. After reading the posts on this site I realize how very little I know about making whiskey and I'm excited to learn more.
I'm 55 years old with about 5 years left on the day job (cybersecurity), and I'd like to spend my "golden years" improving my product and perhaps building a business making traditional Pennsylvania Rye. Dad's Hat here I come!

Enjoy the wealth of information here free for your gleaning. Fraser at Sator T Square Distillery in Bucks County has recently survived the wall of red tape to opened a small vineyard based distillery. He might be willing to share some pointers. Welcome and good luck with your dream!
