Hello everyone! I'm new to the group!
My name is Nick and I'm from the Syracuse, NY area! I've been reading this forum for quite some time and have finally made a username! As a whiskey/whisky/rye/scotch/bourbon/etc etc etc enthusiast, I have found this forum extremely helpful! Not only in learning more and more about the spirit but in the distillation process as well!
A couple of friends and I have been experimenting in the aging process and want to get into distilling at some point, but here in the US (and New York specifically) it is highly illegal to distill alcohol without a license. I am always looking for advice and new ideas, and there are no other message boards out there that I feel are as informative, and respectful to newbies than this one! Thanks.
I'm looking forward to talking with you all!

Welcome to the forums. Since it is illegal you may want to edit your name out.

Very true, thanks for the advice!. But as I said, we've just begun this adventure and have only aged spirits. Which is legal to do! haha.

Always err on the side of caution whether it's a run, posting a picture, or stating your name.
