Hey Y'all! New at the hobby from WV

Post by WVRedneck »

This is a great forum! What a cool hobby to get into. It's something I have always been interested in, but never thought about getting into it before. My wife is from Southern WV, and is willing to put up with me attempting distilling, but then again her granny was a Hatfield. I love a good bourbon and would love to experiment. Right now I have all questions, NO clue where to start.

Yes, most of my questions have been answered, except for one. Why do y'all make it so complicated?

It's as complicated as you make it, in fact it can be VERY simple once you do the reading and get a little knowledge under your belt.

Just about everyone can make likker but not everyone can make good likker.

Good luck and welcome to the bet site on the web,

It's complicated because it's complicated. In the abstract it's simple, but if you start cutting corners it isn't safe.

In any case, welcome! Your're in the right place to learn. Do the required reading, and you'll be teaching others in no time!
