New from western canada

Post by scottford »

I'm fairly new to distillation. My still is a 20 gallon pot with a homemade reflux column and a 5 gallon thump keg. I started with just the pot and a condensing coil but recently added the column and thumper. I've done a lot of internet reading including the homedistiller pages. Sometimes the amount of information is a little overwhelming but so far the site is amazing. I have run mashes made with peaches, pears, raspberries, apples, several different sugars. So far the best moonshine was from the berries (is was also using the new equipment). Next for me is to figure out some flavoring and then a few grain mashes. Definitely fun so far.
