A Kiwi Amateur Distiller

Post by James22 »

I live in the South Island of New Zealand where the only controls on home distillation of alcohol is that it cannot be sold, traded, swapped etc etc. No licence or forms required.
I have been distilling for a few years and have a 100 litre all copper pot still, and a 50 litre SS reflux still that have produced quite a lot of variable quality whisky and gin.
This site is so full of good information. I wish that I had come across it years ago as it would have made my distilling career so much easier. I still (please excuse the pun) have much to learn.

Hi Yummyrum and Demy.
Thanks for the welcome message. I am from the dry side (Christchurch), but did spend some time looking for gold up the Grey R.
Really looking forward to making some memorable brews and interacting with other like minded people.
