Hello from Bosnia - region of Rakija

Hello from Sarajevo. We here make rakija/brandy every year.
Our region is very unique in world. It's totally legal to make alcohol at home on mass and sell it without any permit.
We make brandy from everything that can be fermented, even spruce berries.

Welcome! I made my first plum brandy this year. There are a couple of plum threads you could add too or start another. There are a number of people interested in plum!

Making alcohol here is tradition passed on generations. It's kinda like neighborhood party. Southern part of the country is famous for wine (Žilavka and Blatina) and tobacco.
I live just outside of the city. Older varieties of pears, plums and apples grow here the best.
