Hi all and thanks for letting me join the fun.

Retired from working on Army Blackhawk helicopters for 38 1/2 years, either active duty or civilian contract working.

I am American, 66 years young, married to a feisty redheadded German lady, who’s retired from Bank of America

Desert Storm vet, as well as several other deployments as a contractor working alongside the Army.

Stayed here in Germany, Built our house and calling Germany home.

Thanks again.

Welcome, glad to have you here.
What do you like to drink? Lots of schnapps and brandies made in your new home country.

Welcome and thank you for your service. Jealous of the easy access to some of that German beer...

Right now I am working on a 15 gallon modified SS keg.

Hole was precut in the top, and a drain preinstalled.

Looking at different heating elements and controls.

I am looking at one on eBay Germany that 4500 watts and 220 volts, but reading up on boilers and heating elements.

I am also finishing up on making a 2 inch reflux column, and I just got a double pack of stainless Steel scrubbing Pads/rolls.

So, still reading.

I need to have suggestions for the lid and sealing it.

Take care and thanks,

George

Welcome! Triclamps are the way forward for sealing and connecting. Loads of different diameters.
