Well I ran my 1st wash thru the still last night, I put 10litres of wash and got 1400mls of 92% alcohol. I will keep it for cleaning and sterilizing things.

I have just started distilling the other 13 litres, once thats done, I will run it through the carbon filter and add the ageing cream and bourbon flavouring. Hopefully tonight I will be savouring my 1st brew. I must say the spirit turned ot very clear and clean. It looks just like water. I put a few drops on my tongue and it burnt like hell and tasted a tiny bit sweet and very alcoholly.

I have been doing a bit of reading about cuts, heads, hearts etc so I will put various stages of the distilling in various bottles and see what the differences are. The hearts sound good, no hangover.
