My 2014 Successes!!

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.
Pics are VERY welcome, we drool over pretty copper 8)

My 2014 Successes!!

Post by jasonh82 »

Thanks to this site for a great 2014!
Thanks to this site for a great 2014!
I have to thank the wonderful people on this amazing site for helping me out with this hobby. At the start of this year I was totally green to home distilling and I owe so much of my success to so many people here. I managed to make a good bit of fruitshine this year (sugar shine with fruit added) and some good ole corn whiskey. I still have a long way to go with this thrilling hobby and still consider myself a newbie. Maybe now I can tackle that All-Grain Mash that eluded me three times this year :D Thank you all!!!!

From Left to right here is what I made this year:

- Rasberry Lemonade
- Pineapple
- Blackberry
- UJSSM on Toasted Oak Chips
- UJSSM
- Sweet Feed Moonshine
- Apple Pie (sitting on a piece of cinnamon stick)
- Blueberry
- Strawberry
- Black Cherry

There's only one problem you have. Seems like a bit kuch for one person to drink on their own. Best have some of us come help. Being concerned and all, wouldn't want you to end up with alcohol poisoning. Strictly out of concern for your safety of course lol.

Great job, looks like a great array of fine likker!

Good deal. I was pretty proud of my collection before I drank it.

I see clear wine bottles for free on Craigslist all the time. They usually come in lots of 500 or so.
Therefore you can grab what you need. Makes for a pretty cool collection, especially if you get into making labels.

A picture is worth 1000 words. As much as I have looked at everyone's pictures from the masters on this site to the greenest newbie it is always awesome to see someone's creation! Nice job!
