my first real still
hi all i hope this will be a great still
spec: main reflux tube 3 inch Stainless 1.5 meters tall + 10 meters of copper pipe 8mm.
cooler 2 meters of 15mm with 22mm water jacket.

thx. nice to hear :) yes i think so, i like the chrome outer finish on the 22mm copper pipe and the brass :).. The Stainless will either be polished or acid satin at the end

That is a damn nice looking coil. Should knock down a lot of heat. How much power will you be using with your boiler?Beovoxo wrote:the coil all ready
What is the gap between winds in your outer coil? They look like they are near touching. You will want some space between them for vapor flow, and enough space that the surface tension/whicking of reflux won't stick in those gaps. I shoot for an 1/8" gap in mine.

yes they are touching right now, but when installed it will be little over 5mm between the coils and the same between the pipe :)

thx all i have just sent the Stainless pipes to my body for tig welding with backgas and fitting some new clamps and such.. so in a couple of days it will be back ;);)

I got some arduino megas, temp sensors, pressure sensors some other stuff and a big ole touch screen for my next controller. Im starting to get into these high tech controls, yours looks like some fun stuff.
