Just-For-Copper

has anybody had any experience or knowledge of the Just-For-Copper products...?

re: http://www.justforcopper.com/

browsed their msds profiles for their Just-For-Copper and Just-For-Copper Epoxy Putty products...

looks good to me (former lab weenie)...

this could change still making if it works and is safe...

william...

EDIT: June 24, 2011

Do NOT play with the "Just-For-Copper Epoxy Putty" or "Just-For-Copper Thread Lock" products for building drinking ethanol stills...

only the "Just-For-Copper-XXX" (liquid), is certified NSF... (at least at this time...)

the epoxy putty and thread lock versions are in process of being nsf certified, but at this time, that is just talk...

will post status updates here...

A similar product was discussed here a year or two ago... I remain a bit skeptical of anything that works like magic... :problem:

MATERIAL SAFTY DATE SHEET
JUST-FOR-COPPER, Part No. JFC-050 and JFC-010

i believe that should be DATA, not DATE...
see attachments

i still do not have an answer to my original question as per below...

in addition, do you have NSF sign off yet...? (food grade clearance)...
Never tested for food grade, however Just-For-Copper Pro is certified to nsf standard ANSI 61 – potable water

thanx...

And when it sounds too good to be true...

I'm not gonna be the first one to jump at the chance to give it a try... :eh: Can't be all that sure that the person responding is qualified to do much other than to attempt to convince folks to buy their products...

Where is our crack team of chemists who can do lab tests when you we need them...??? :econfused:

seems like soaking in some high proof would at least tell you something although that wouldn't ease my mind enough to put it in my juice
