WARNING,

these look VERY similar to the stilldrinkin dot com stills. I would be VERY leary of ordering anything from that site.

Please tell me you didn't get the one with the so called thumper on it? And please read through this thread so you can get an idea of how to make it safe to use.

The mason jar is too small to make an effective thumper. The glass is a safety hazard. The way things are sealed on it is a safety hazard. And a poison hazard. The thing is to small. Just a bad design and execution. Don't take my word for it. There are many threads that go over all these fine qualities.

@ wildman1983,

Isn’t asking about bootleggerstills after you placed an order with them a little too late?

Suggest re-reading Forum Member’s Prairiepiss Mon Apr 02, 2012 9:19PM posting and read the Forum link that he provided for you.

Also if you are going to be hanging around Home Distiller Forum suggest learning to use the magic “HD Google Search” function located at the top of each Home Distiller Forum page. Type “bootleggerstills” in the magic “HD Google Search” box which will reveal Forum postings concerning the problems other Forum Members have had with bootleggerstills.

Do not think for one moment you will ever get your money's worth, even if you get a still from them. People on this board have made the necessary modifications, but they were the loucky ones. The one I got will never be useable. Stop what ever yuo are doing and cancel you transaction. It will be the smartest thing to do. Cancel your payment now. Then start reading on this board to learn how to build your own, or who the reputable places are to purchase a still from.
