Hmm...a good thought! Hasn't been needed yet but it probably will be some time in the future!

I piss out the door of my shed... My son is around during runs if I got to shizz. Phone call to wife in the house gets her to come back me up if he's not, Or bring supper, snacks, tea, whatever. The limiting factor is keeping my 5 yr old in the house and unaware ,because kindergarteners say the DAMNEDST things. The wife don't mind as the shed also has a love seat and 20" flat screen and cable & radio. Dinner and a movie while doing a run,PRICELESS!!!!

I run in my garage, well vented, tv, stereo, refrigerator and floor drain ;)
Wife brings me supper if its a long run. I usually dont do a spirit run alone as they can get pretty lenghty. Either my son or stillin partner is there for them you know, just in case the poo comes a callin. Actually its because im busy switching jars so its nice to have another set of eyes.

Cranky and JB , you guys are men after my own heart . 20 years underground in a coal mine made me very aware of safety and ventilation in a potentially explosive environment . Pissin and visual entertainment are within eyesight and arm's reach of the still . The opportunity to fornicate will cause me to shut that still off in a New York minute ! Every one you miss is one you ain't never gonna get . There is no makin that up .
If you ain't the lead dog in the team , the scenery never changes . Ga Flatwoods made my avatar and I want to thank him for that .
Don't drink water , fish fornicate in it .

In all actuality this is not the first or the last one who has and will blow up his garage this way but every time it happens it sets this hobby back and sedans me.
This tweren't I, I dont think my local paper has internet service so you wouldn't of read about it if it was me. However I will emphatically state that the safety rules are; By Gawd there for a reason and should not be violated... If you are new to the site and reading through this thread make sure you have read Cranky's spoonfeeding and dont get upset if members push it on you and expect you to understand it.. We have a great hobby and I hate to see mistakes like this being made...

Don't get me wrong I love a good explosion, but only when and what I plan on. It's those accidental, preventable, and totally unplanned ones that I despise. Black powder don't last long round here though...
all time favorite though- a upside down styrofoam coffee cup on the edge of a welding table run a lil bit of acetylene up into it then slide it all the way on to the table and lay a lit ciggarett on the cup and walk away...bout like an m80...
Damned if id screw around and take stupid chances while stilling though.

You and I would have gotten along fine in my high school Vo Ag shop class . Big ole unkempt very hairy boy dressed in Pillsberry Dough Boy too large coverhauls layin under a farm trailer he was welding up : I ran a 3 count of acetylene up one leg , backed off a few feet and pitched my lit ZIPPO down beside him . All to once he was 'Careless The Mesican Hairless' . I got excused from school for a few days for that prank .

i had a coworker think it was funny to drop a tiger torch with the propane on beside me while i was Tig welding some piping we were fitting, he got the hot end of my filler rod across his face and had to explain to the foreman why all the welders refused to work with him.

I see doing a run as a good way to do some reading, research and a bit of drawing. Its great when a good buddy comes by and keeps me company.
