How do I get sprouted malt corn?

The corn really isn't that wet but just damp. I use an old cast iron hand crank meat grinder and it works great. I also soak my mash corn(whole corn) over night and use the same grinder to crush the corn before making mash. The soaking softens the corn a lot and makes it much easier to grind. You can use whole corn to make mash but you have to cook it for a long time to get enough starch out of it to be worth the time and effort. Crushing it or buying cracked corn only takes an hour and a half at 190f to sufficiently extract the starch. Whole corn takes at least 4 hours.
