4 grain whiskey looking for ideas

hey i've been looking at the tried and true section at nc bourbon i was thinking of add 2lbs rye and and 1 lbs wheat thing is they got some many differnt types from the place i get my grains im not to sure just which one to mix . Any ideas or help be thankfully this what they got for now

I'd use this,
Rye malt

(but you might just try the rye first)

thanks NC i was thinking about that rye. the wheat whats keep me thinking and will do .

When you're lookin for grains look first at the base malts, they're the malted grains that have active enzymes for saccrification. Most of the grains with all the flavors are crystal malts and the enzymes have been denatured. You can add small amounts of the crystal malts to add flavor but keep in mind that they have no active enzymes.
