Freezing fermented grains

Hey guys

Can i freeze the grains that I used to ferment my first batch... to save it until I run my second batch as I am short on space... will it kill the yeast? Just curious, any help would be great.

Yes, you can freeze your grains ... yes, it will kill the yeast.

Just my drunken opinion
It's best to pitch fresh happy yeast :lol:
If you want, freeze the spent grain/yeast until needed
Boil some of the "spent grain/yeast" for nutrients and pitch fresh yeast
To eat the next batch of fermentable sugars :lol:

I want to freez my first grain mash and add it to my second batch which was started 4 days after the first. To do a second larger batch of mash using backseat from the second run in my new larger drum...( as per Kentucky Shiners sweet feed recipe)
Also I am frugal, and I think the freezing may expand and rupture the cells in the grain releasing more starch when they thaw? It is just an hypothesis...
